Well, we have come to the end of 2010; in fact I am late in writing this note: It is January 1st 2011! Hope all my one...or two readers had a great year. Looking at my stats I realize I averaged about one post per week - not bad. I could change all of it if I brought in some older stuff from my files. I am in the process of putting together a commentary on Romans and have been working on it for the past couple of days (in reality - for years!). I am in chapter 14 and probably will get another 10 or so more entries out of it before I finish. I have compiled about 100 standard size pages all told. Book form we're looking at about 200. I am going back through it and editing it more and rechecking stuff. The biggest change that has happened recently has been my views on baptism in general and infant baptism in specific. The more I write and research the more my theological views gel and then solidify. This is true with everyone as we form convictions based on good evidence presented to us. Argument is key to help form these opinions. Why we (as people of God) shy away from argument and debate is antithetical to strong faith in God. The bible says to always be ready, in season and out of season, to give a defense to the faith that lies within (my paraphrase) and that means debate, argumentation and discussion which leads to serious introspection and chewing over such questions as, "what do I believe in and why?" Well, I have written enough tonight. I will save it for the lengthy post I have prepared on Romans 13: 8-14.
In Christ,
-Joe
